I live with my MiL and I cant stand it! She keeps giving me unwanted advice about what to feed my baby. She gets mad when I tell her I don't feel comfortable giving a 4 month old oranges. And she keeps walking through my room even though I closed my bedroom door. There is absolutely no privacy for me.

Sorry but move out. it's her house and you stay there. Do you have a lease? Be grateful for the roof over you and your baby's head. No, I'm not an in law. Yes, your MIL may be a pain but again, it's her house. Sorry I can't help with better advice.

Have a sit-down with her (and with your husband as well) and lay down the rules. Put a lock on your door as well, and let her know in no uncertain terms that YOU are the mother of your baby. She had her turn with babies and needs to let YOU be the mother.
